Cannot play mp3 files
In palemoon 27, i cannot play my mp3 files anymore. Before 27,i can always play mp3 files with gstreamer. Is something changed?
Re: Cannot play mp3 files
GStreamer is no longer used and hasn't been for a good while now. You need ffmpeg or at least libav.
Re: Cannot play mp3 files
I know that.I am using lubuntu 16.04 with ffmpeg. But mp3 files are not playing anymore.New Tobin Paradigm wrote:GStreamer is no longer used and hasn't been for a good while now. You need ffmpeg or at least libav.
Re: Cannot play mp3 files

It worked before 27 , is this a side effect of mse?
Re: Cannot play mp3 files
This has nothing to do with MSE.moonwalker wrote:is this a side effect of mse?
I think the problem is that you're trying to play a local file. A local file doesn't have a MIME type, so it will try to use whatever the file extension tells Pale Moon the type is. The error message indicates that the helper application for the file type doesn't exist -- check Options -> Applications in Pale Moon to see if *.mp3 is set correctly there.
