"Server not found" only on Palemoon

First off, many thanks to the devs for their work on this. Palemoon has been working great!

That said, I may have tripped something within Palemoon on accident because sites that Palemoon once allowed me to access are now always returning "Server not Found". I don't think it's something with my PC because I also have the most recent Firefox installed and that browser accesses those sites fine.

The sites are a couple of Google and Mozilla pages: addons.mozilla.org, support.mozilla.org, google groups, google help desk. It also appears one other site has a miscellaneous block (as in, one CDN won't respond to Palemoon but still works in Firefox).
I tried clearing the cache, but to no avail. I thought I might have a virus. It doesn't block other sites or redirect Google or interfere with other browsers and functionality (I can still look up article about the problem) but obviously, some critical sites are off limits.

Any thoughts about how to clean this up would be appreciated.
I'd like to know what the file structure of Palemoon is supposed to look like so I can delete any suspicious-looking files.

Thanks guys!

"Server not found" errors indicate a problem with your DNS. This can have several causes: Overzealous AV blocking Pale Moon, some kind of proxy in use, packet filtering firewall blocking DNS traffic from Pale Moon, etc.

It would help if you list exactly what you are using:
- distro
- version
- version of Pale Moon
- built from source, official binary from linux.palemoon.org, or third-party binary?
- networking setup
- anything else you think might be remotely related.

distro: Mint Rosa
PM version: 26.4.0.1
x86 binary (downloaded from this site)

I do have Network Manager running, and as I've read here ( http://lincgeek.org/blog/?p=1529 ) it can cause issues, so I'll try removing that first. If that does happen to be the cause, it'd be interesting to know why it interferes with PM and not FF. It also doesn't help me understand why those sites were accessible earlier. Maybe something in that tripped. hm...

I found the problem! Turns out it was in PM, but it was my settings. In Tools -> NoRedirect, Mozilla and Google had both been set to give DNS errors upon redirect. I turned that off and now those sites work.

Would you (or someone) please post a screen-shot of the setting "Tools" > "NoRedirect" (or provide more clarity).... I do not see this setting in PM. :? (or is this an exclusive Linux setting since I use Windows, which I doubt).

I'm guessing it's this extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... oredirect/

Thanks for the reply. I wondered about this.... I use this add-on for testing (otherwise leave it disabled) so am aware of this add-on which crossed my mind, but what totally confuses me is regarding what was specifically said (posted) quote: "... it was my settings. In Tools -> NoRedirect,..." --- which makes no sense to me since this is not a native PM optional setting but instead is a browser extension as we know and as such has nothing to do with PM "Tools" settings.... :?

It's simple: the extension added the menu entry.
