Yeah, my late-2015 laptop running Linux Mint 18.2 with the Cinnamon desktop is preforming better with the new build too.Terryphi wrote:One of my computers is an old laptop which has shown very high CPU use and high temperature when streaming video from some sources. This has been a problem on Firefox as well as Pale Moon. However, the latest Pale Moon unstable build 2017-07-30 is performing much better.

Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
I see only 64-bit build available for download. I couldn't find any post stating any particular reason for that, so my guess is release engineering overhead.
I understand if my request is turned down, but will you please consider providing 32-bit builds.

Unstable Linux builds are 64-bit only. See the first post in this thread.adesh wrote:I see only 64-bit build available for download. I couldn't find any post stating any particular reason for that, so my guess is release engineering overhead.

Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
Would it be possible to get something like "palemoon-unstable-bin" added to the AUR?

+1 on this -- would love to see this happen.hobbledehoy899 wrote:Would it be possible to get something like "palemoon-unstable-bin" added to the AUR?

Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
We now have 32-bit unstable builds for Linux available. I've updated the first post of this thread with a link and info.

Will there be separate dates listed on the OP for the separate builds once there's a new 64-bit build?trava90 wrote:Note that this build is contributed by Walter Dnes, and updated builds may be released at different times/intervals from both the Windows and 64-bit Linux releases.

Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
The build date will be in the form YYMMDD inserted into the tarball name. E.g. 170821hobbledehoy899 wrote:Will there be separate dates listed on the OP for the separate builds once there's a new 64-bit build?
- 17 ==> year 2017

I recon that sort of auto-update stuff has never affected and will never affect any of the Linux builds at all, unstable or not.Walter Dnes wrote:Note: because the download/install for this version is entirely manual, thread https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16592 does NOT apply to this version.
Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
Will the new restart button be given an icon at some point?

I've advanced the schedule a bit, because I'll be taking a short vacation next week. I won't be around Sept 18th-to-22nd. The next build after that will be Monday Sep 25th.

Re: Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds
Is that filename a typo or is that really an alpha version of 27.6?Walter Dnes wrote:The latest 32-bit unstable linux build tarball is available for download at URL
