Pale Moon for Linux - Unstable builds

As noted in
this announcement, unstable 64-bit builds for Linux are now available.
Unlike the unstable builds for Windows, these Linux versions WILL NOT update automatically. Any and all updates to later builds will have to be done manually. Beginning with the new alpha unstable build of 28.0.0a2 (64-bit) (2018-06-02), the internal updater has been enabled. As long as the downloaded tarball is extracted to a user-writable location the browser will automatically update to the latest unstable versions as they are made available.
If you are not currently using these unstable builds but are considering it, please carefully read all the information on the
download page first, as well as the unstable channel
release notes.

There is not palemoon-27.3.0-source.7z file on ftp site. Is where an ETA for this file (and also for .sig file)?

If you are using linux you should be using the tarballs from the GitHub repository because 7zip doesn't know anything about UNIX permissions or executable flags... Which is required to build the codebase.
Frankly, I am questioning why 7zip source archives are still being produced...
Also, what does this have to do with Linux Unstable?

I start building firefox on linux before palemon project started. Switched to palemon since version 27.
I can manage some file permissions, thank you.
Frankly, I am questioning why 7zip source archives are still being produced...
I have no idea. I would like .tar.bz2 or .tar.xz format. But 7zip it is, 7zip I use.
Also, what does this have to do with Linux Unstable?
Well, nothing I guess. Just missing like the unstable version.

We don't have an automated release engineering setup. Sources in 7-zip format are created and uploaded manually. GitHub will always have zip and tarballs available of tagged commits but please be aware that tagged commits may at any point before official release change for last-minute corrections.
Unstable versions are built and distributed on an as-available and as-time-permits basis.

I'd say these builds are about as stable as a release candidate Linux kernel build.

It was with the version of Pale Moon 27.4.0a1 built on May 28th that I was first able to watch
a video directly uploaded to Twitter without the video either playing slow with matching pitched-down audio or the video just saying that it was flat-out incompatible with my browser! (And yes, I watch Game Grumps.)

It would be good to have an occasional brief note here about the significant changes made in the latest unstable build. It would help those of us testing it to focus on changes and how they work for us.

Good point; I've added a link to the unstable build release notes in the first post. In addition, if there is something Linux specific that needs testing I will be sure to mention it here.

I've been testing 27.4.0a1 on linux for the past several days and I'm very impressed. No crashes or any problems at all. And the rendering seems faster to me; any reason that might be true?
Anyway, I don't have any bugs to report, but wanted to let you know your work is much appreciated and admired.

Wow, the unstable is now up to 27.5 even though the current stable is still only at 27.3.

27.4 has been moved to its own release branch. Unstable builds are built from trunk, which always receives a version bump after a new relbranch has been created.

One of my computers is an old laptop which has shown very high CPU use and high temperature when streaming video from some sources. This has been a problem on Firefox as well as Pale Moon. However, the latest Pale Moon unstable build 2017-07-30 is performing much better.
