Behavior: newtab -> type new url say aliexpress.com --- result: the select buffer containing 'liexpress.com/'
Seems like odd behavior regardless of ones position on the X11 select buffer.

Re: odd behaviour withselect buffer on linux
This is because you're entering the first character, and Pale Moon is auto-completing with only the characters you haven't typed yet selected. Which means that the select buffer is doing exactly what's intended - containing the selected text. If you really want the whole auto-completed URL, hit Ctrl-A once you've typed enough for get the right URL.
(I tried it for myself, but I had to type "ali" before I got aliexpress.com; then checked it with xclip -o, which returned "express.com/". Just "a" got me "amazon.com" and "al" got me "aljazeera.com".)
