Twitter video fix not implemented in Linux version?

Unread post by lampshade » 2016-12-15, 03:49

Hi,

I've been using Pale Moon for a while now, in Linux and Windows, and following the threads about Twitter videos not playing.

I saw in this thread https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?t=9807 that with MSE implemented in v27 of PaleMoon, Twitter videos should now play again.

So I just wanted to let you know that this does seem to be the case for me in Windows, but not in Linux. For example, the video in this post https://twitter.com/AnimalPlanet/status/809216428150636544 doesn't play for me in the Linux version of Pale Moon. Doesn't matter if MSE is enabled or not. The only extension I have is AdBlock Latitude, and it doesn't make any difference if I disable it. The video does play in Linux Firefox and Chrome, and it does play in Windows Pale Moon.

Thanks, and thanks for Pale Moon.

MSE is not enabled by default for our Linux builds due to some known issues with it. I have been working on it and it will be enabled by default in Linux as well in v27.1.0.
