Google Talk Plugin Fail in Pale Moon

Unread post by 1Nighter » 2016-03-10, 08:06

I upgraded to Pale Moon 26.1.1 (x86) to try to resolve the issue of no longer being able to make calls from Gmail via the Google Talk Plugin. This worked in a prior version of Pale Moon but now the plugin doesn't appear in the plugins list either. The error message: "Hangouts needs the Google Talk plugin to make calls. Install the Google Talk plugin." My OS is Linux Mint Rosa. Pale Moon 26.1.0 release notes refer to fix of Hangouts compatibility issue so I guess something is known of this issue though I've not been able to find a discussion.

I was able to fix this by reinstalling the plugin.
