Im currently using pale moon from the downlloaded tarball on linux.Is there any benefits from installing pale moon normally or can i carry on using the pale moon as i am currently.?

You can continue using the "extract and run" method as you have been. The pminstaller basically does the same thing (extracts it to /opt/palemoon/), and additionally adds an icon to your menu, gives you the option to set Pale Moon as the default browser for the system (if you're using a Debian-based distro), and sets up hunspell (spell checker) for Pale Moon to use.
So it's really up to you and what your preference is.
