FossaMail 24.5.0

Unread post by fred8615 » 2014-05-04, 02:04

FossaMail 24.5.0 has now been published, and is now officially out of its beta phase.
Cool!! Finally a 64 bit e-mail client that isn't based on a beta or alpha version of TB.

Btw, since it is now a final, you might want to think about putting a mention and/or link on the Pale Moon site. Especially with all the Australis refugees coming to PM now.

I use it since Mail & News and i have never problems.
So its run perfect, even it was beta.

But yes, maybe put a link to FossaMail on the PaleMoon site.

I've updated the site with a news mention and added it to the Home menu.

The logo is a Fossa.
I chose that as a representation/mascot because of the similarity with F.O.S.S. :)

I just downloaded FossaMail 24.5.0 and tried to install the Lightning X64 addon and I am getting
an error message that Lightning is not compatible with this version. Any ideas ?

  • Make sure it matches with the architecture of the client you downloaded.
  • Make sure to save the XPI to disk, then load it into FossaMail by either:
    • Dragging and dropping it onto the add-on manager window, or
    • Clicking the gear in the add-on manager window and selecting "install add-on from file"

Thanks Moonchild !! I have been waiting for an e-mail and calendar program that is 64bit like this. Couldn't get Thunderbird to work with its calendar.
Have been using a 64bit version of Microsoft Outlook.
