Full Screen mode?

Post by back2themoon » 2015-08-26, 11:09

Is there a way (or perhaps as a new feature) to enter fullscreen mode? Gave the MoreLayouts extension a shot but both 3.0 and 2.9 versions are incompatible - thanks.

Why would you need full-screen mode in a mail application? Isn't maximizing the window enough?

Not a critical issue of course but couldn't that question be applied to most applications, including Pale Moon? Maximizing is just fine, full screen gives that bit of extra space and focus (removing all other distractions) which can help some times (ok, a few times).

The main reason why the browser has full-screen mode is because web-content and web-based applications would benefit from it (kiosk mode, web app controls not being confused with non-content controls, etc.) - that's much less of a target, if one at all, for a mail application. I personally don't see a reason why Fossamail would benefit from this enough to warrant having to implement a second UI for full-screen use.
