Is there a way to keep Avast from forcing it's certificates into FossaMail.

I already know that which is why I don't want avast doing it, but I don't know where to look for the setting in Fossamail.

You need to look in Avast, not in Fossa Mail. FM doesn't manipulate any certificate.
