Install Fossamail on Ubuntu 14.04 from download

I downloaded FossaMail-25.1.3.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 but can't find a way to install. I don't think there is a ppa so I can't use the Synaptic Package Manager. Any help would be appreciated.

You can just extract the archive and then run it. Or you can follow these instructions. Just replace any mention of palemoon with FossaMail (note the case).

Thank you. I'd tried running pminstaller but as noted in your linked page it sometimes opens in a text editor. Now I see one needs to put in the whole path.
