I have trouble registering Fossamail as the default SimpleMAPI application in Windows 8.1 64-bit. I have uninstalled Thunderbird completely but it still shows up in the Windows Default programs for EML files. It seems there is a mix of Fossamail and Thunderbird values. I cannot get rid of the Tunderbird values in the Windows Control Panel.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Fossamail as default SimpleMAPI application
Addendum.
I have got rid of all the Tunderbird registry keys and values manually. To no avail.
It seems Fossamail 64-bit is either not identified as a MAPI application (if the File > SendTo command is invoked through a third-party application) or it crashes if the right-click “Send To” command is invoked from the Windows File Explorer right-click menu. I have created a Windows Dump file through the Task Manager after such a crash. I also found an associated “moz_mapi” folder and file. I can upload all files to a file sharing site. Should I do this and send the link to Moonchild (is there a contact address)?
