Conversion from Seamonkey

Post by dwebii » 2015-03-14, 00:31

Is there a (relatively safe and) easy way to convert from Seamonkey Mail to Fossamail? Does it require a jump to TB in the middle?

I apologize if this is an old discussion. I've reached the end of my patience with SM, memory leaking and really laggy response. It's time to try another mail client.

You shouldn't need Thunderbird as an intermediate step.

The easiest and most complete way would likely be to use the import/export tools
https://freeshell.de//~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html

install in seamonkey, export, install in fossamail, import -- and that should be all :)

Sweet! Thank you.

Can I assume that the export is non-destructive so I can revert if I get into trouble (or if I want to run in parallel)?
