thunderbird bug also in fossamail

I have fund a longtime thunderbird bug also in fossamail.

when I responds to a html mail with a picture in it and i send the response ... fossamail displays a window with "attaching.. " and nothing will happens ...this is a very old bug from thunderbird. probably the program has a problem with a picture in the mail. When I delete the pictures in the mail, then the mail will be send,

Can't confirm this. What exactly did you try?

If you try to attach a file and this file gets locked "on access" (e.g. what virus scanners love to do) then you may end up with the client waiting for the release that never happens. Especially since it's at the 'attaching" stage (which involves reading the file and encoding it to embed in the mail) this seems to me the most likely cause.
