Connection to bt internet

I keep receiving the message "connection to server mail.btinternet.com failed". This morning, about six times in quick succession. After closing FossaMail and reopening, I was able to get my emails but, almost immediately, the connection broke again. Does anyone else have a similar problem and is it a FossaMail problem or a BT problem? I have no difficulty if I use Microsoft Outlook.com or my BT Yahoo email accounts.

Hello,

I have done a quick test via my FossaMail btinternet account and it appears to be working normally.

I can only suggest that you check all your settings, I have found that btinternet can be difficult to set up.
