ich habe fossamail 38.0 eben installiert, bislang bin ich sehr zufrieden. zuvor hatte ich thunderbird am laufen. meien alten thunderbirdmails habe alle in den entsprechenden fossamail orden kopiert. funktioniert.
meine fragen: wo kann ich das quotation mark zeichen auf dieses format setzen "< " ?

The ">" as a quotation mark is defined in RFC 3676. It's a standard convention that you should not change; it will cause interoperability issues otherwise. FossaMail therefore does no make this configurable.
Small icons can be achieved by right-clicking the button bar, choosing "customize" and selecting small icons (and potentially setting it to icon-only to reduce the size even more).
