With the release of FossaMail 38.0 64 bit it seems the nice and clean theme Classic TB2 is no more working.
Is there a solution, a workaround for it?
I tried to bump the install.rdf to version 54.*, but it took no effect...

Yes, I had the same problem, but it's easy to overcome 
In the classic_tb2-1.3.0-tb.xpi there's a install.rdf. Change the maxversion, I set it to 40, to give some TTL after v38
After that, look, that there are 2 xpi-'s nested in this xpi. Change the install.rdf in both of them the same way!
And you're done, this classicTB will install into Fossamail 38.0 and my best hope is that it will work also.
For me it works on Fossamail v38 x86_64 - Linux.
