FM27 - Folder and list spacing
Moonchild mentioned some cosmetic changes with the update to FM27 and one of those seems to be extra spacing between the folders in the Folder Pane as well as the Message Pane. I believe the root cause stems from what Moonchild references here in regard to PM27: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13792&p=97884#p97936
Is this still being worked on in PM, and hopefully make its way to FM?
Also, is there a quick way with css to adjust this?

Re: FM27 - Folder and list spacing
The spacing in v27 is really bad. Tons of wasted space and it makes everything confusing by allowing significantly less content on one page.
Re: FM27 - Folder and list spacing
Moonchild, please return the line spacing as it was in version 25
27 version bad to use on small screens

Patches are welcome.Octopuss wrote:The spacing in v27 is really bad. Tons of wasted space and it makes everything confusing by allowing significantly less content on one page.
If you don't like the way it looks and want something more compact, get yourself a theme in the meantime?

I am not a programmer, I can't give you a patch.
Is isn't difficult to make the spacing like it was before though? I'm not saying I want it right now. I'm asking "could you do it please?"

You weren't asking anything, you were saying "This is really bad" without asking anything or being constructive.Octopuss wrote: I'm asking "could you do it please?"
I'm also not saying YOU should make a patch, but rather anyone capable.

Re: FM27 - Folder and list spacing
I'm having trouble finding or installing a theme for FM. How do we go about that exactly. I'm on AMO's theme page for Thunderbird, I downloaded a couple xpi's that were in the support range of TB38, but they error out when installing to FM. Do we need to modify the install.rdf to get them to work? If so, I'm not sure what FM's ID is.
I also looked on APO/themes, but everything I saw was for PM.

I figured out how to get the themes installed. There aren't really that many available though, which isn't surprising I guess. I don't care for most of them, and some of the ones I liked didn't change the spacing.

For the record, I'm working with the author of Classic TB2 to integrate that into FossaMail by default. It's a clean, professional look that should get rid of just about all half-Australism that's still present.

Awesome, that's great to hear. Thanks!
It does seem like FM27 is faster and more responsive, so it's been great otherwise.
