Is there any way to relocate the cache and basically all temporary files in similar fashion to PM? There's no about:config in FM as far as I can tell (obviously, it's not a browser), so I wonder if this is possible.

There's no about:config in FM as far as I can tell

I don't use FossaMail, but I seem to recall you can access about:config in Thunderbird via:
Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Config Editor (button)
If that's not available in FM, I'm sure someone will correct me.
