Replies saved to the folder containing the original message?

Is it possible to automatically save replies to the folder containing the original message? Or must we manually move the sent mails to the appropriate folders?

In Tools->account settings go to Copies & Folders and tick the box labelled "Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to"

Disclaimer: I've not tried this and I am on IMAP.
