Unresponsive Script on startup FossaMail 25.2.3(x64)

Unread post by embeeusername » 2016-09-26, 03:41

Getting unresponsive script error on every FossaMail startup since installing 25.2.3: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://messenger/content/mailWindowOverlay.js:1401

Additionally, it eventually becomes impossible to continue deleting messages without restarting the app - this happens intermittently/randomly and does not display an error message.

Have removed all extensions and done an uninstall/reinstall with reboots without success. Any ideas??

Your script pauses on getting mail from the one pop3 server you have in your list of servers. Please verify that sympatico.ca's servers are using the correct credentials and that they are available, and check your networking settings.
Check as well as that you have not set the collection interval too fast (some servers purposefully leave clients without a response if they check too quickly).

Was there anything in particular you did when this script error occurred?

If this is deleting messages on IMAP servers, then that might also indicate a networking issue. Please check if you have any software running that might interfere with Fossamail like antivirus or network security software.

I also noticed you have set "checking compatibility" to disabled for extensions. You've likely been using extensions that are not compatible with FossaMail -- and may have caused profile corruption as a result. I suggest you create a new profile, and set up your accounts in that new profile again (since most of your mail is IMAP, that shouldn't be an issue re: stored mail) and this time not try to force compatibility of extensions.
