Default Email Pop Up and Default Start-up Page

Morning...

I run Fossamail on both my desktop and laptop, both 64 bit on Win7. Desktop runs flawlessly, laptop, not so much.

The biggest issues I have with my laptop installation of FM are:

1.) the pop up when I start the application asking to set FM as the default mail; and,

2.) why it continues to open with the default page, which I have unchecked.

FM is not the default, T'Bird is, it's also been set as the Windows default program through the control panel.

Any ideas on how to solve these?

Press ALT to see full menus.
Under "Tools –> Options" go to "Advanced –> General".
Then, in the second block, there is a check mark to "Always check if Fossamail is the email client".

Make sure this box is unchecked. Then the question won't pop up.
If later on you want to use Fossamail as your email client, check that box and click on "check now".
