Go to View >> Toolbars >> Customize. See if you can find the icon in the "Customize Toolbar" window that pops up. If it's there, drag it to where you want it.

Occasionally the uBlock icon will disappear to the 'Customize...' window on new installs, but it usually does not persist once it's been fixed. I would try to reinstall the extension. Do you run any extensions that mess with your settings like Preferences Monitor?

So to be clear - if you put the icon on the toolbar and then quit Palemoon and start it again, the icon is still there? Only when you reboot the PC, the icon disappears?

That sounds like a problem with neither Palemoon nor uBlock Origin to me. Make sure your profiles folder is writeable and that there aren't any other programs (security software etc.) reversing your settings.

Are you using any antivirus or internet security software? If so, please check to see if the browser got put in a "sandbox" or similar when running it.

I have the exact same problem. It started with Palemoon 25.7.1 and uBlock Origin 1.1.1. The uBlock icon disappears from the Navigation toolbar and it will only re-appear if I disable and enable uBlock Origin from the Add-Ons Manager page. Strangly enough, the icon is not in the Navigation bar customize page when it disappears. When uBlock is enabled again, the icon is placed in its "proper" spot on the Navigation bar (second icon from the right). The location is persistent. The problem occurs with uBlock Origin 1.2.0rc2 also. Installed extensions:

Application Basics
------------------
Name: Pale Moon
Version: 25.7.2
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:25.7) Gecko/20150929 PaleMoon/25.7.2

Extensions

Version: 1.3

Name: uBlock Origin

I've experienced this issue, although I'm not currently having that problem. I don't even recall a reason why it stopped. You might try unintalling the addon, restart the browser, reinstall, and see if that helps. I might also suggest manually clearing out any residual uBlock specific extension settings in about:config while it's uninstalled.

On x86 same thing. Clean Win10 x86, new PC, new profile.

I've put the issue up on the uBlock issue tracker with a link to this thread here. If you have any more information about this, please elaborate.

One workaround you could try in the meanwhile: Go into about:config and set extensions.ublock0.forceLegacyToolbarButton to true.

Everyone who has this issue, please install and test 1.3.0rc2 to see if it's been fixed.

I installed uBlock Origin 1.3.0rc2 and the problem still exists with PM 25.7.2 x86.
Strangly enough, I have a laptop with PM 25.7.1 x86 and uBlock Origin v1.1.1 and the problem does not occur.

Yeah, I have this issue as well. No icon in the customize either. And when I installed uBlock on my aunt's computer I couldn't, saying it was incompatible. So I edited the install.rdf file to force install and it did install, but the icon won't show up.

Just like Better Privacy, their code needs to be made compatible for Pale Moon.

I'm using version 0.9.5.0. This isn't the Origin version. If you want that version here is the xpi. Just chose file in Pale Moon and Open to install.

Make sure you disable auto updates for uBlock once installed.

We should've clarified - this thread is about uBlock Origin. The last vanilla uBlock version should work with Palemoon, but its development has stopped. You can't expect any updates on that one.

Oh... So what is the difference between the Origin version and the non-Origin version? I tried the Origin version but had nothing but trouble.

Origin is by the author of the original extension. It didn't used to be compatible, but he's since imported Legacy Firefox patches. It should work just as well or better by now, barring a few bugs.
