Re: Avast account login problem
It looks like it is fixed, but Pale Moon doesn't fill email and password fields with saved password anymore.
I guess the glass is half full.

Re: Avast account login problem
They probably changed the names of some of the fields. You may have to clear your store passwords for it and let it re-save them.
Good news though, if it's fixed on their end!
EDIT: confirmed in 25.8 and 26.0-dev -- marking this thread (finally) as solved.

Do you have multiple logins stored in your form history? in that case it won't automatically fill in the details. See if the password is automatically filled in when you type part of the name and then select the correct entry from the popup.

Re: [Solved] Avast account login problem
I had saved passwords for id.avast.com and support.avast.com and I removed both of them and tried again, but without success.
I'll wait if someone with Avast account can confirm this problem.

Good news, this. Fortunately. I rarely need to use the forum but it is useful to have it available. Thanks a lot to you guys who put the pressure on Avast to get this sorted out.

Re: [Solved] Avast account login problem
Many thanks Avast for fixing this - no response to my active ticket though. When I logged in the first time Palemoon had filled both fields in but it claimed the password was missing. Did a login from Keepass and it worked the second time.
Re: [Solved] Avast account login problem
I still don't know why Password Manager doesn't fill login fields with saved password.
It is working fine with other sites (this forum,Gmail etc.). I can copy/paste password from Password Manager, but that is tedious.

Why log-out?.... just stay logged in and make it easier on yourself, once logged in you don't ever have to bother with log-in again.Freezing Moon wrote:I still don't know why Password Manager doesn't fill login fields with saved password.

You're either intentionally logging out each time you either leave the Avast forum or your Avast Account (my.avast.com) or you're deleting Avast Cookies at some point. Why log-out at all, just stay logged in, it's much easier that way, then if you click on any log-in link for either the Avast forum or the Avast Account you're in the account automatically, already logged in every time. I do that with all my accounts that allow me to stay logged in (i.e. all forums, blogs, email accounts etc. for example).
You of course have to allow Avast Cookies to do this (you have to of course allow Avast cookies to use Avast Accounts anyway while you use them). I personally have never used a Password Manager that fills in log-in fields for fear of hackers getting the information actually (it seems to me like an obvious target for hackers). I keep a separate hidden, encrypted and password locked file (only have to remember the one password this way) to maintain all my ID/Password records in the event it becomes necessary to occasionally clear Cookies for any sites I stay logged into however. But that is rare so I choose to allow Cookies for sites that I can stay logged into. Of course if you don't want to allow Cookies at some point after leaving the site then that's another story, no way around it, you'll have to always log-in each time.
As to why Password Manager doesn't work, I'm afraid I can't help because I don't need or use Password Manager since I'm always logged in to Avast making it easier for me.
