[Unsolved][Solved]Outlook.com Issue after update

Yes PaleMoon requested a update. I allowed the update and restarted my pc after it was complete. The update went without incident until I attempted to us Outlook.com.

Outlook is not flawless by any means but has been working find before the Outlook update.

Now I can't use Outlook at all. Emails won't load in and if they do no amount of clicking on the link will open them. No option to delete...grrr.

I posted on the Outlook forum but of course, as usual, they blame it on the browser. Insisting that I us Internet Explorer which I've never had installed on the pc and have no intention of doing so. I did test it in Chrome and its' working fine in Chrome but I don't use that often and prefer to use Pale Moon.

Any ideas if the update could have cause a glitch. I'm not having a issue with any other website...which leads me to think it's a Outlook issue. I have tried the general troubleshooting suggestion from here.

Thanks.

I've just verified that outlook.com operates as normal in Pale Moon 25.4.1. I can open any e-mail, and perform all normal operations -- I'm unable to reproduce the issue.

Possibly you are blocking something that is essential for Outlook to operate. Are you using any script/ad blockers?

Thank you for the quick reply.

Good to hear that Pale Moon is operating as normal.

I haven't changed any settings in PaleMoon or Outlook. No script blocker but I have used Ad Blocker without any issues and did disable it and restart PaleMoon and Outlook and that didn't change anything.
No reply from my post for help in Outlook yet.

This issue was discussed in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8117 , where I had the same problem and was able to resolve it.

Thanks for the link explaining your issue and how you fixed it.

I just uninstalled Pale Moon and re-installed it and that didn't fixed the issue. grrr!
I installed 32bit instead of the 64 which I had installed.

Hi BringBackWinter,

Pale Moon 24.5.1 is working normal with Outlook here tool. I assume you have already tried Pale Moon to restart with add-on disabled or under Safe Mode, right?

This is really weird, since this is pretty much the ways to "reset" Pale Moon to its default configuration, and it should clean all of your settings, leaving a "naked", brand new web browser to you.

I just tested this again on my home desktop system, Windows 7 in this case. With PM 25.3.2 (x86), links in outlook.com did not respond. After updating to 25.4.1 all links in outlook.com respond as expected. I have 20 extensions and 8 plugins on this system and outlook.com works fine with them loaded.

I'm having the same problem, and only after updating to 25.4.1. Outlook Mail opens, but nothing works once I'm in. Just a frozen screen. Tried it in both regular mode and safe mode with add ons disabled. Same result. The only link that works is the one that allows you to sign in and out. I'm on Windows 7.
Outlook is working fine in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and IE, and was working fine in PM until the latest release.

Right, since the topic started, Outlook would still work fine for me.

As I try it now, it's not working. Clicking on an e-mail is not opening. (I only have 2 e-mails that date back to the start of the client, so no e-mails ever since to worry about the account)

Edit: After the site finished loading, I could open the e-mails like nothing.

So, the problem is that people want to open mails before the page has completely loaded?...

That was not the case before I updated, but is the case with current PM. Outlook apparently has a lot to load (pre-load?) before the page is ready. On older versions of PM, Outlook links wouldn't respond no matter how long (within reason) I waited for the page to load.

Seems to be working fine today.

I'll just have to chalk it up to Microsoft tinkering with their site then.

I have noticed it is still having issues. I turned off all of the add-ons and it started working. I had no problems with: Adblock Latitude, Ghostery & Download Helper, but when I turned on "BetterPrivacy" it started acting up and it would only load some of the time.

I've been using BetterPrivacy for a long time, and no issues. Loads and ready to use, never a skip.
Then again, I rarely use it, since my e-mail address is a Yahoo! one, so it goes untouched.

I had that, nothing worked, compose button did nothing, couldn't even sign out.
I cleared my cache with ccleaner and it worked as normal again.

BetterPrivacy is mainly for LSOs(Flash Cookies).
Better-off suggesting Click&Clean, since it covers cache, along with LSOs and everything else that requires cleaning.(All with a toilet roll icon, to remind you of it's duties)

Just wanted to update to this post didn't realize it had been so long since I started it.

Well Outlook.com is still not working if I use Pale Moon.
So I posted for help with Microsoft/Outlook and of course they blamed it on Pale Moon.
Getting help with Outlook is nearly impossible. I posted for help in Sept 2014 for a different issue and it has yet to be resolved.
Two weeks since posting and not one reply as to what to attempted to do to fix it. Not holding out much hope.

The strange thing is I can use Outlook fine with Chrome but it's not my browser of choice. I prefer Pale Moon.

Microsoft should have left well enough alone and never done away with Hotmail. Never had a issue with in all the years I used it.
I've tried everything suggested and still can't open emails or folders. Which is a pain because if its something I need to read I have to forward it to Gmail account. Wasting my time.

I completely uninstalled Pale Moon and installed it again and that didn't work.

Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on what could have caused this.

I still can't reproduce the problem - it works fine for me all the time, every time...

One potential workaround you can use is use the IETab extension for Outlook.com which will use the MSIE back-end to render the tabs of your choice - it better work in their own browser product, after all ;)

There has to be something blocking your access.
I have no problems, other than waiting for the site to finish loading before I can open an e-mail. It doesn't take that long, either.

Any advice I can give you is to try a New Profile, your old one must've been corrupted. We sometimes tweedle with the settings and forget what we've changed, another mistake.
