Cannot disable/configure animate download button?

I'm disabling the "Status bar options/Download/Animate button when download completes" option, but it will always animate anyway (the zoom effect).

Also, does "Highlight button when download completes, x seconds" control if and for how long the button will remain green? It doesn't seem to work either, it stays green until I click it.

That controls the download status bar item (the one that is by default on the status bar).. Not the button that opens the download panel (the one that is by default on the navi toolbar). AFAIK that is all hardcoded to do that...

Oh I see, thanks. Still trying to figure out the logic behind this new system... the classic downloads window seems so much more sensible. Thankfully, the option is there.

As it always will be.. There is no reason to remove it or cripple other applications that may be built on the toolkit as I can see happening as Mozilla continues to destroy THEIR codebase..
