Hi, although a long time Pale Moon user, I am new to the forum.
Maybe someone can help. Since the last Pale Moon update, it has become very slow in loading websites, quite often resulting in a 'connection was reset' page. Today I have tried a couple of other browsers, and these do not seem to have the same problem.
I use satellite internet, so my ping times are in the region of 800 ms, maybe PM has difficulty with this? Are there settings I can change to get it back to previous speeds. I would really like to keep using PM, but it is unworkable at the moment. Even loading this forum took 3 attempts.
Thanks

i too sometimes face this problem.
if a site takes too long to load, it causes a timeout...
@ Moonchild : have you made any changes in network config that could cause this?

For this kind of connection it may be better to disable pipelining in the browser, as it may not work well with very long ping times and your satellite provider may also be using an unsupportive (transparent) proxy.

Re: Pale Moon has become very slow since last update
I don't know about satellite speeds, but I'm on broadband cable (Comcast). Pale Moon 12.0 is very fast on all of the sites I visit (which is about 75) except for one which is "The Cat Site".

On TCS, Pale Moon is very slow. I attribute this to the servers on TCS. It takes up to 10 (or more) seconds to get a page to open up. Ditto for when I'm using Firefox 12, SeaMonkey 2.0.14 and IE8 so I know the problem has nothing to do with Pale Moon.
