Unread post by demoneye » 2012-04-18, 07:43

HI

i just install palemoon x32 and all works fine except playing media player websites like http://www.rlive.co.il

i check its option > application and see its almost empty compare to firefox 11 (which play such radio site 100% ).
i also install "wmpfirefoxplugin" and it doesn't help palemoon to play above like sites (http://www.rlive.co.il)

A possibility is to repack some dependencies into .xpi and PM will pick the program up.
Moonchild can fill you in that one, if it is possible.

It's not an XPI problem as this is the cause of a missing plugin dll and unrelated to add-ons - this is actually in the troubleshooting section on the Pale Moon website (first item!). "Media player" functionality is not always picked up correctly and you have to simply drop in the right dll files.

http://www.palemoon.org/troubleshooting.shtml#Windows_Media_formats_dont_play_in_Pale

EDIT: the solution on the website does not use BSPLayer Pro, by the way, but normal Windows Media libraries. If you require BSPlayer to plug into Pale Moon, you should ask the BSPlayer developers for Pale Moon support.

No, sorry - there is no 64-bit windows media plugin available. If you need Windows Media functionality, you should stick to the regular x86 (32-bit) version of Pale Moon.

i got another question regard to this media player over PM x32 , after copy files and start to use the media player some visual look bad and not inplace like it is in firefox 11...

example

use this link in PM x32 (one of many) and than use it over FF11 , you will see in FF11 u can easily set any volume level you want , and in PMx32 u cant (look not in place)

It's possible that the dlls linked to are outdated. I grabbed the latest* "interoperability bridges" plugin (which is the official one), and pulled out the dll from it.
Try this one instead of what you have now.

* "latest" in this case is from 2007, but should properly support up to WMP 11

Looks like I'll have to update the windows media player archive to a better working version ;) So, thanks for bringing this to my attention!
