Crashing issue
Operating system: Windows 8
Browser version: 24.7.2 (Pale Moon says it's up-to-date at the time of posting)
32-bit or 64-bit?: I think it's the 64 bit version. If someone could tell me how to check, I will confirm this.
Theme: Default?
Installed add-ons:
- Adblock Plus 2.6.4
- Gmail Notifier 0.4.7
- LJLogin 2.2.1
- NoScript 2.6.8.41
Installed plugins:
- Shockwave Flash 14.0.0.179
- Microsoft Office 2013 15.0.4545.1000 & 15.0.4514.1000
- Google Update 1.3.24.15
- ArcPlugin 1.0.0.1
- Adobe Acrobat 11.0.7.79
- Java 10.51.2.13 + toolkit
- iTunes application detector 1.0.1.1
- Photo Gallery 16.4.3503.728
- Intel Identity Protection 2.1.42.0
- MetaStream 3 3.5.0.36 (Disabled)
At first I thought Pale Moon was having issues with one of my games off Steam that I play on occasion, which I was alright with, but now it's started on another game so I believe I this is reportable. Whenever I'm playing a Steam game in fullscreen mode (and only fullscreen), whenever I eventually finish with the game and close it down, it causes Pale Moon to crash. Doesn't matter if I was using Pale Moon at the time or if it was just sitting idle in the background, if it's open when I close the game, it'll crash. Thankfully it can restore the session when it does this, but it is annoying when I'm mid-video or mid-download at the time. Crash file is attached.

ADDED:
According to your crash report, you are using the 32 bit version.
Re: Crashing issue
Unfortunately your crash file only refers to where the WER file was saved.
Can you please include the information from help -> troubleshooting information in Pale Moon so we have details about the browser environment in which the crash occurred, and use AppCrashView (see link from one of the stickies) to analyze the WER and give details about the actual crash?

Re: Crashing issue
It would be helpful if that program actually saved the report and not what it did when you hit save. But I think this is right. And...you mean this?

Re: Crashing issue
Yes, that is exactly what I was asking
The crash code you hit is a rather infamous one, affecting many different programs on Windows, especially ones that use more advanced graphics. It's not necessarily a Pale Moon problem, although Pale Moon triggers it.
You may be able to solve this quickly and easily by installing the latest video drivers for your Intel HD graphics. The drivers you are using are very old, and have known issues, to such an extent even that most features of it are blocked in Pale Moon and an older, less supported (especially on Windows 8) fallback rendering is used. Please try that first.

Re: Crashing issue
Hasn't helped, unfortunately.
Also I can't seem to attach the crash file for you, I keep getting this CloudFlare thing with an 16ff434e5c6c04c2 ID.

Re: Crashing issue
if the exception code is the same then adding another crash report won't help, unfortunately.
But I see that you are also preferring d3d9 for layers acceleration in your preferences. While that may have been necessary with your old drivers, it could cause issues of its own in the new ones.
Please try resetting layers.prefer-d3d9 to default now you've updated your drivers.

Re: Crashing issue
Still a no-go. Let's see if I can copy-paste from the crash app, since attaching things isn't working...
Re: Crashing issue
Considering the very large amount of modules that are loaded into the browser, can you check if disabling all but the plugins you're actively using (usually just Flash and/or Silverlight) makes a difference? I see things loaded from office, a samsung module, etc. that are all not part of Pale Moon and likely loaded from plugins (with dependencies into internet explorer and the likes).

Re: Crashing issue
I disabled everything that didn't seem necessary for Pale Moon to work (and in the process, worked out a bug with my Java, so woot for that!), but it's still crashing. I only have 4 active Plugins on my plugin page now, 2 versions of Shockwave Flash (note to self, get rid of one) and 2 versions of some Intel Identity Protection thing. This is also after a reboot, so very little was actively running on my PC aside from Pale Moon, Steam and the game I was playing on full-screen.
EDIT: Here's the troubleshooting again, just in case my mucking around with the programs on my system has edited that in any way.
Re: Crashing issue
Hmm there seems to still be a lot (some samsung module, IE system components, MS Office components...) loaded that could cause issues, even after all that. Also if you weren't actively using the browser at the time it's likely something that operates in the background.
Of note: recently someone else has indicated there have been crashes due to the GMail notifier extension (specifically the "Show Windows taskbar notification" setting). Try disabling that first.
If that doesn't help, see if it still occurs with all add-ons disabled. If that fixes it, re-enable your extensions one by one until you find the culprit.
