Weird bookmark problem

I have no clue whatever what's going on, but every time I open up Google Chrome since I started using Pale Moon, my bookmark sidebar gets screwed up, getting out of alphabetical order, and I have to go back to the Library to sort things back out again or else spend a long, boring time deleting duplicate bookmarks. Anyone got a clue as to what's happening? I'm sorry I don't have more information to offer, but I don't really know how to describe it in technical terms.

So are you saying that when you open Pale Moon after having Chrome opened, that you then get duplicate bookmarks? Does every bookmark get a duplicate?

If the above link doesn't help, someone more knowledgeable than me will have to help you.

Unfortunately, the link you posted doesn't really fit the problem I described, but I have a better idea of what's going on now. I turned on my laptop, which also has Pale Moon installed and is connected to my apartment's WiFi network (my desktop is directly hooked up to the modem via Ethernet) a couple of hours ago for a few minutes (Pale Moon wasn't turned on on the laptop, but Google Chrome was running) and I just now noticed that the Pale Moon bookmark sidebar on my desktop, which I cleaned up at some effort yesterday, has now gotten clogged up with at least one (and sometimes two) copies of most of the bookmarks again. I'm beginning to wonder if syncing is going weirdly wrong and causing the bookmark file to load up with duplicates every time a different browser is activated. It's almost as if a new copy of the bookmark file is being imported every time a different browser is opened/activated.

Actually, I'm also beginning to wonder if the problem is connected with iPhone. I got a new iPhone a couple of weeks ago and migrated my Firefox and Chrome bookmarks to Safari, and have installed iCloud on my desktop and laptop. I wonder if that could have something to do with it. Has anyone else who owns an iPhone, runs iCloud and has Pale Moon (and maybe also Chrome) installed on more than one computer experienced a problem like this?

I'm going to include a couple of screenshots to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about as attachments

P.S. I just located a backup of the bookmark file that had been done before this latest glitch, and I was able to restore the right ordering of bookmarks. However, I don't want to have to be doing this almost every day.

P.P.S. I just disabled the iCloud bookmarks add-on on Pale Moon on this desktop and I'm going to disable it on my laptop as well. We'll see if that helps keeps things under control.
