Moonchild wrote:Considering your video is not playing smooth, you are simply dealing with low responsiveness on your system because all your CPU cycles are gobbled up by video playback. Your laptop simply doesn't have the computing power to play the flash video at higher resolutions because it can't decode fast enough - and as a result, your responsiveness is killed.
The reason why it wasn't playing smooth was because I was loading the video on 3 browsers, that's Flash version of hogging up CPU resources just for having the 3 flash videos on, also the browsers eat memory/cpu while they are up. If I closed PM or the other browsers, and just used one browser, nothing will be wrong with the video playback, smooth as normal. It's typing that's the problem when playing the video.

Edit: Actually, you are right on that. While I am typing the video is lagging, but when I am just watching the video without typing or anything else, it's smooth. Yes, I bought this laptop for it's on-board videocard, which does handle gaming better than the others with the similar price but the processor suffers a lot.

Since, the post won't be seen unless it's stated as a new post, I have to double-post. (I was just going to add it as Edit2)

Okay, what happens is that when I am playing a video plugin container is alright, but when I start to type it spikes up like crazy.

Another note, I didn't have that problem in the past and I used to have many tabs with 720p videos, at least 1 or 2 playing in the background or just open and they didn't cause lag on anything regarding typing. That about wraps it up, it's the site and it's messing with Flash.

I just found this searching around but it's too recent to have a solution. Also, I just recently posted, since it's more of a base-Firefox issue. I might not get a reply from them in the near-future, but I can wait.

Edit: If it helps, there is a solution that stops the browser from refreshing and cutting-out what I type but it's risky to use. Anyone that comes around the problem will need at least an add-on that allows the video to scroll with you, or everything else that can scroll without moving the video, keeping it in view, since the solution requires the video present. This, however, does not stop the typing lag but it does lower it a slight bit, still heavy.

Okay, it's getting annoying that I keep making many threads, but for anyone that does come across this problem...the solution is below this text.

Right-click the Firefox/Pale Moon icon, select "Properties", then copy/paste this -disable-metrics-reporting -disable-metrics-system -disable-logging" after palemoon.exe.
Example: palemoon.exe" -disable-metrics-reporting -disable-metrics-system -disable-logging
Note: Make sure that there is a space between " and -

If you guys know what's disabled, please enlighten me.
