security alert on W11 after last update
After today's update of Pale Moon to version 34.3.2 (64-bit), I saw a security alert on Windows 11. If you think everything is fine, you can ignore it. I'm not a techie
it's just the first time something like this has happened to me. Attached is a screenshot: in English - "Category: Trojan horse, details: this program is dangerous..." I trust you, so I consider it a misunderstanding or a possible system error. Regards
K

Seems Windows Defender on Windows 11 (but curiously not on Windows 10) is flagging the javascript module as a trojan with this version. This would be a false positive. If you can report the error to Microsoft.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust Microslop (Defender) or google (VirusTotal). False Positive Heuristics. Of course, you could have caught something, but it's unlikely.

Curiously, VT includes Microsoft. So you'd expect that not to come back clean. But it does.
So I'm not sure in which circumstances individual defender setups bork on the binaries; certainly not wide-spread or general.
