Hello,
I have the browsepaper addon installed which allows you to put your own picture as the background of a new tab. So when I open a new tab, my background picture is there which is good.
However when I start up palemoon, even though I have set the startup page to be "New Tab", it just shows the default blank page with palemoon logo, and not my background picture.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks.

It depends entirely on how the addon redefines the new tab or the function to open it. I don't think this is necessarily something to be fixed on the browser side, but rather would need the add-on to be adjusted.

For anyone else with this issue I have found the fix for it:

In startup set it to "Show my home page" and set the url to "chrome://browsepaper/content/background.html".
That will show the background picture

That was a case I never thought of and never tested.
I think I'll leave it as is and add a note that if you want the wallpaper on startup you have to be explicit about it.
I can see cases where people might want the current behaviour too and using the existing browser features seems more robust, rather than implementing it inside the extension.
I'm not at my PC as I type this message, so I can't update the extension description and stuff.
