Hi
i was just wondering if there has been a delay in sending out the update for the Linux version Pale moon 34.1.0.
When I manually check for updates it says there is none available.
Nothing has changed at my end since the last update, and everything else works as expected.
Anyone else using linux have the same issue?

You state your operating system is: linux xfce.
Xfce is a desktop environment. And linux, this is just a broad generational description to define what linux distributions are.
At the link below, on the right side of the page you will find a list for 100 linux distributions.
https://distrowatch.com/
You have to be more specific in what linux distribution you are using. I use the Xfce desktop environment in both MX Linux and Debian. But my 64 bit linux Pale Moon (GTK2) 34.1.0 is not installed so I never run into any problems getting the newest version of linux Pale Moon. I get my newest linux Pale Moon versions from the link below and manually go through the motions to use the newest version.
https://www.palemoon.org/download.shtml
But I am guessing your linux Pale Moon is installed so you might have to wait a little until the maintainer for your linux distribution will get the newest update version to you.
MX Linux 25.1 (Infinity) Xfce w/Pale Moon, Waterfox, Firefox
Linux Debian 13.4 (Trixie) Xfce w/Pale Moon, Waterfox, Firefox

I am guessing you are using some derivative of debian?
Most people who use palemoon on linux are either debian or archlinux.

Hi, the update to 34.1.0 is not available when Pale Moon/Help/Check for updates is clicked. Does this mean a manual update is needed ?

My successful PM update history currently extends back to October 2024 using the built in updater.
Currently using 34.0.1 64bit GTK3

A manual update is not needed "if" you do not want to do a manual update. In my answer to the OP, if your updater is not giving you the update to 34.1.0, you will have to wait until the maintainer for linux Pale Moon for your linux distro makes it available for the updater you are using.
I do it manually in the Xfce desktop environment because my linux Pale Moon is not installed so I do not "need" the updater in either of MX Linux or Debian. I do it this way because I like doing it this way and I have never run into problems some of you are dealing with.
Again. In other words, if you want the updater to get 34.1.0 and not do it manually yourself, you'll have to have a little "patience".

If you got Pale Moon from the tarball, did you get from the link below?
https://www.palemoon.org/download.shtml
The above is where I got my 34.1.0 (GTK2) from. And this is where I get all of my linux Pale Moon versions since I use the tarball. And I have been using the above link since January of 2014.

OK that seems to be my bad. the update channel was not set to release so it's wrong, and I noticed a few other configuration mistakes. I'll have to rebuild linux.

New builds have been created. Downloads updated and the internal updater should be able to automatically grab the new version now as well.

I'm curious, how do you know this to be a fact? FTR, I'm on Devuan.

I don't think he can. it's just a wild assumption.
Even I can't see this kind of detail. We simply don't gather any of this kind of data.

And we know how annoying this may be at times and how it can hamstring development efforts and appreciate how much is given up on your end so that the user can maintain their privacy.

Maybe I should've said archlinux, debian or their derivatives.
