windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
I used the latest version & many versions & since recent versions,
random windows placed in the deskbar before other applications,
move to the far end of the right side, which make me look where
these windows are and make me lose focus. I moved back to downgrades
up to V33.8.2, & the issue persisted, moved then back to v33.7.2
without picking versions in the middle & v33.7.2 doesn't throw windows
to the right & respects their position on the deskbar.
win11 x64.

Consider writing in your native language here: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewforum.php?f=6

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
It's a kind way to say your post is very difficult to extract the meaning of. i.e.: it's quite unintelligible.
I certainly don't understand either what you are trying to say, so the pointer was given to use one of the foreign language boards on this forum to ask your question in your native language.
Instead of complaining about the helpfulness of the reply, why don't you try and help us help you?
Please use the template, provide information we can use to help you, and try and rephrase your question. Machine translation may also help you.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
Still not really sure what you're saying. The Windows task bar will show applications in the order they are opened, but if I understand correctly you are having it pinned to have it on the left. That works properly as far as I know, but depending on how you pinned the application it may not. e.g. if you pinned a shortcut to the taskbar it won't work; try unpinning it and then start the browser and right-click the taskbar entry and pin it from there. You can then move it to the desired space and it should stay there.
If it was something else, then provide more information.

Moonchild..
noone talked about pinning, forget pinning. it just disappears from the left to then appear on the far right randomly. noone's pinned anything here.
& it doesn't happen on v33.7.2

i can position any tabs by dragging, i don't pin anyting, & i'm always using retrobar in win11, but again, this never happened until recent updates of palemoon, and v33.7.2 doesn't change tabs places unless i kill explorer.exe,

i also feel like something is freezing on pm when a tabs ready to move to the far right.. while v33.7.2 is super fluid & doesn't hang nor bugs with tabs.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
If not pinned, then that means the browser closed and restarted, or at least the window was completely closed and a new window was opened after all window references were removed, which doesn't normally happen "by itself".
So, to help you we'll need your system info and troubleshooting info from the browser. See various pinned posts on the forum how to do this. Without that information we simply can't help.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
the browser closed and restarted,
-No (one tab at a time)
or at least the window was completely closed and a new window was opened after all window references were removed"
-No, cause everything on that window, including typed text & position remains intact, it's like the tab was dragged without
viewing the dragging process.
i'll try to provide the infos u need tomorrow.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
ugh, Moonchild..
i tried to resintall the latest version & test it with lots of tabs, and i didn't save the stupid log, cause i thought i could have done it later,
& this stupid log is replaced over time.. after like 15minutes of logs, it was replaced with following errors..
in fact i could figure out when this happens to me for the major of occasions..
It's with the stupid cloudfare.. when a cloudfare takes longer than usual, i for example go back to a folder to check something,
& since that folder doesnt take the whole screen space, i returned to the page that was taking a while, click anywhere on the blank of that page
(not selecting since its in progress), it then freezes & the window goes to the far right of the taskbar.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
After looking over the OP's extensions, this one below caught my eye since it is very old to the tune of 5 or 6 years old when it was last updated.
Name: uBlock Origin
Version: 1.16.4.30
Enabled: true
ID: uBlock0@raymondhill.net
It would be wise if the OP used the newest version of uBlock Origin 1.16.6.1 by UCBorg that was updated on August 10th, 2025. So it is only 5 months old at the time of this posting.

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
Done.
you think it could be behind that hanging process & tab moving particularly with cloudfare ?
(& accessorily, do you think i should keep that "Name: [TEST] Remove Google Tracking",
cause it's an old extension too probably based on html elements which are often
reupdated & changed by webmasters & also google. i wonder if that extension's
not trying to block elements that don't exist actually on the google search page.
& i hardly imagine the author of that extension creating java rules for these accurate
html elements when he's proposed that extension.)

Re: windows moving on deskbar - on recent versions
Maybe. Not sure. But continuing to use a very old "outdated" UBO can and will cause problems since Pale Moon keeps updating itself. Basically, the old UBO cannot do that anymore. Ditto for other extensions which are no longer being maintained.
Also, reverting back to very old versions from the newest version, without making a new profile will "definitely" cause problems . You said you went back to "several" old versions of Pale Moon.
So if you have; without making a new profile, if you want to try the newest version (again) which at the time of this posting is (34.0.1) , I am going to take a calculated guess your present Pale Moon is partially corrupted if you didn't make a new profile if you went back to (34.0.1). And a corrupted profile does cause problems.
Lots of people have customized Pale Moon and do not really like making a new profile, without any customizations, extensions, etc; because if if does clear up the problem, then they have to find out what is in the old corrupted profile that is causing a problem. These people do not like the "hassle". They want an "easy" fix when the easy fix will not work.
If it is an old extension which is causing the problem, with a new profile, they have to install their extensions "one by one" to locate the extension which is causing the problem. In other words, install one extension and then go and see of that solves the problem. If it does not, then install a second installation and repeat the process. Most people do not want to do this since they have lots of extensions in Pale Moon. Hence, the "hassle".
All of the above is, "food for thought".
