Yahoo Mail Login Fails

Yahoo changed/updated their email system recently and when I tried to login today, I couldn't get past the 'Next' button after entering my password. The little loading indicator on the button just sits there and spins. I have been able to use Brave browser to log in, so I assume some of Yahoo's recent changes are conflicting with Pale Moon at this point. Gmail throws up a banner telling me that my browser (Pale Moon) is outdated, but so far it still functions well enough to be usable (not that I actually use it much, having moved to Protonmail). I only keep these two functional because they are used as backup email addresses. Hopefully there will be a way to fix this Yahoo login issue in a coming Pale Moon update... if not sooner. Thanks!

You might try their "no javascript" version of their site - which might require you to... disable JavaScript (unsure ?).
Might test in a new, clean Profile (with JS disabled).

(This past Monday, 12-1-2025, Yahoo forced a new "agreement" upon me, & at the same time, they "upgraded" me from their non-JS page to their JS page, & that was simply utter crap & did not work fully as it was. So then I tried other browsers, & they too were not allowing the no-JS version of their site, & they too were running like crap & not working as expected. Many hours later, things returned to normal, including my non-JS version of their site back working, not forcing me to their crap JS'd layout.)

I literally had to disable javascript and XHR on the login page, but maintain cookies, and it works..

their damned scripts at the never completing geo.yahoo.com and such must be detecting palemoon and refusing to play. but at least there's that work around using ematrix

Also, I use the old yahoomail inbox because the new one rapes hardware, that and it's glitchy when selecting and deleting mail, and has less support for mail filters.

I'll continue using Waterfox for Yahoo for the time being, but want to bring up the idea that maybe this is a sign of Yahoo slowly dying.

I'm having this problem too. It won't take the password, as the "next" button simply spins forever. I'm not sure how to fix this. I'm also not sure how to disable javascript to even try that suggestion. I heavily rely on my email and I daily OS X 10.8.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So, I was unable to figure out how to fully disable javascript or get anything to work in Pale Moon - However, in Waterfox Classic, I was able to easily disable javascript, then the page required me to enable it. I kept it disabled, until submitting password, then it got me in!!!!!!!! You may have to play with it a bit, and see what you can do, while also using the login page from that "no javascript" login above - or the direct link. I'm honestly not sure, I tried so many ways. Just play with it, but at least with enough back and forth, I got in this time. Hopefully it doesn't randomly log me out again. I really really need my email to be functional If Pale Moon devs could fix this and similar issues, it would be amazing! I love Pale Moon, but sometimes others are the answer. My browser usage is so staggered, just switching between what works where... Modern internet is a mess :/ I fear it'll only get worse.
