No, Pale Moon will not overwrite your FX installation, the profiles are completely separate. You could, if you wanted, use the Profile migration tool to import all your FX settings into Pale Moon though - http://www.palemoon.org/migrationtool.shtml
Yes, PM and FX are able to run side-by-side, they are differently named processes.
