I have a Virgin Media Super Hub 5 and for the login page, when I type the password in, there's no option to remember the password. I'm currently trying to gather as much evidence for my repeat drop outs as possible for my ISP support team, so I'm logging into the router and doing a diagnostic for every drop, but without the remember password functionality, it takes me an extra 10 seconds to log into the page so I miss some of the opportunities to run the troubleshooter due to me not having my router password in my clipboard at all times.

I don't know if it's not working because it's an HTTP page and not HTTPS, or if it's because of something else.
Any help or advice is welcome, let me know if you want any other information also.

It's probably one or more of the following:

• autocomplete="off" is used in the form. While we ignore that by default (unless preffed), I do believe there's some subtle influence regardless in our password manager code around it.
• The password field is standalone (not coupled with a username, nor placed in a form)
• The "action" is a standard button (not a form submit) that probably uses javascript to send data to the embedded server

This makes it more difficult for the browser to determine that it is a login form, to begin with, and may opt to not offer saving.

You can work around this in many cases by using a password editing extension to manually add an entry for your router page. The recipes.json route is also possible but a bit more involved.
