Adding search engines to Search Engine box

Unread post by cannonmc » 2025-04-13, 00:12

Operating system:win7
Browser version:33.x
32-bit or 64-bit browser?:64bit

On my other machine (see saga viewtopic.php?f=3&t=32246) I had managed to add 'ebay.co.uk' to my search engine box. I can't remember how

On present machine (this one) I have done 'Manage Search engines' and that has gone, nicely as expected. Then wanted to add 'ebay.co.uk' to the search engine box. I couldn't see how.

I went to 'Get More Search Engines' and ebay.co.uk wasn't there. Can anyone tell how/if I can add it onto current Search engine Box

Cheers, getting there slowly :)

Try this:
https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/add-as-search-engine/

Right click in any search box and select "Add as Search Engine".

Thank you for the reply but I had tried that one.

I installed that add-on but when I searched anything using DuckDuckGo there didn't seem to be any link/right click link to add the answer to my PM search engines

The add-on adds an entry into the right click menu.
Right click in the search box of any website and select "Add as Search Engine".
I mean any website, like eBay or Amazon or any others.

Edit:
I think I may have misread. The only way to save the search answers is to bookmark the page.

Give that man a cigar! You didn't misread, I did. I now have ebay.co.uk in PM Search engines.

Thanks very much

I use this too! It's a great resource, and it has a tool that leads you through the process of making your own search plugins.
