Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
I was able to recover from the situation last night by just waiting some time (~5 minutes) before restarting Pale Moon a 3rd time, so the crash is no longer reproducible. If/when I get into this situation again I will confirm it is reproducible, disable deCDN, see how that goes and report back.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
They pointed to something similar, as in both were in some form of processing available data coming from the network back-end. There isn't really anything I can see from a code inspection point of view that is incorrect in the image loading procedure, so I'm suspecting it's fallout from the JS binding going bust, triggered by deCDN (which has been addressed on the master branch already for the next release). If disabling deCDN makes it go away then that strengthens my assumption this is a timing-dependent thread-based side-effect. If it doesn't go away then It'll be a separate bug that needs looking into.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
Would you prefer I stay on deCDN v33.3 until I can get a read on if it is the cause? I'm happy to do so.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
Best to change as few parameters at a time as possible.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
I'm still on deCDN version v33.3.
Just now I experienced the repeated crashes again (7+ times as I tried to figure out how to disable an extension while also restoring tabs and crashing). Moving the extension directory out of AppData didn't work.
Turns out you can disable extensions while the "restore" tab is open, then go restore the tabs.
After disabling deCND, like clockwork, the crashing stopped. Let me know if you want any of the AppCrash output from any of the crashes (first, last, all).
Restored windows/tabs were:
Window 1 Tab 1: https://slashdot.org (always loaded fine)
Window 2 Tab 1: https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions (always crashed)

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
That shouldn't be necessary. Given the behaviour, it's almost certainly the same crash and I'm fairly confident 33.6.1 should make this go away.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
With PM 33.6.1 released, I've re-enabled deCDN and I'll see how it goes.
(I've also installed it on a couple more machines.)

That didn't take long. I've got the repeated crashing again with PM 33.6.1 and deCDN re-enabled.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
Just pushed a small update to deCDN that gets rid of an empty onDataAvailable request that occurs... "frequently" (basically any time a file is loaded that didn't have anything to change/replace). Might want to update to v33.4 and make sure that little hiccup isn't causing or compounding this issue.

I'm on deCDN 33.4 now and I'll report back.

Re: Image-heavy page causes browser crash.
It has been long enough and I've stressed the browser enough (right now its nearing 4GB of memory used and doing its classic paging or whatever slows it down) and I've not had the browser crash any longer. It feels safe to call this issue fixed.
