Suggestion for new useragent override for x.com

Post by Sessh » 2024-12-09, 21:52

It appears that the twitter.com useragent.override isn't working for me anymore on x.com. What was happening is clicking on an x.com link no longer took me to the tweet page but instead redirected me to the twitter.com/home page and would not load up any x.com links.

After troubleshooting a bit, I decided to try making general.useragent.override.x.com with a duplicate value as the one in the twitter.com override and this solved my issue. Not sure if anyone else was experiencing this? It just started happening today. It was not happening in any other browser.

I don't use an override for that site and it works just fine.

You shouldn't need an override for Twitter/X (in fact I just removed it for the next release)

Hmm interesting... so maybe the current override is causing it? Maybe I'll just remove both the overrides and see what happens.

Edit: So I reset both the twitter.com and x.com overrides and it still works fine. Ok then.
