Operating system: Win 7 SP1
Browser version: 33.5.0
32-bit or 64-bit browser?: 64
Crash at startup.
I suppose it has something to do with the latest AVX checks. Palemoon-Portable-33.0.0.win64 works fine though.
Ask me anything!

Yes, an Intel Core i7 920 doesn't seem to have AVX -- not really a surprise for a 2008 CPU.
You'll have to use the SSE2 builds graciously provided by Nuck-TH.
If you prefer a portable, then what you should do is unpack the normal 33.5.0 portable, and replace all the files in bin\Palemoon with the files from the SSE2 .7z archive.

Re: V33.5.0 crash on startup
On a core2Duo2 without AVX, I updated my PM32bits (on win7 32) and everything goes well.
I don't remember what i am running but on about:support I can see: CPU attributes : SSE2
Does it mean that time ago I downloaded the SSE version?

No. AVX isn't a consideration on 32-bits. This is only an issue for 64-bit builds.
