webappstore.sqlite
I have noticed some edit box weirdness on one forum I visit which I first suspected had to be caused by an upgrade to the forum software that somehow wasn't compatible with PM, because disabling Ublock, using Swabby, deleting site cookies, then the cache, and lastly everything but browsing history didn't help, but then the forum worked perfectly fine on clean profile, so I dug a little further, and after some trial and error fixed it by deleting webappstore.sqlite from the profile folder.
What exactly is this file and is there any way to clean it from within the GUI? It's clearly a cache of some sort so there's _likely_ no harm in deleting it, but I kind of expected this kind of stuff to be cleaned when I go for the clear recent history feature.

Re: webappstore.sqlite
webappsstore.sqlite contains DOM Storage data. This data is set by web sites much in the same way as cookies.

I have no idea what that data is, but that's not really important in my case.
Does PM have any builtin functionality to clean it or is my only option deleting it? That might look like a dumb question, but seeing that nothing seeminly happened to the file when I used one of the few available options to touch history.

You can inspect it in devtools.LuftWafflePilot wrote: ↑2024-12-03, 06:12Does PM have any builtin functionality to clean it or is my only option deleting it?
You will have to enable the "Storage" tab first in devtools settings, though.
If you want to delete the data in it, the clear recent history window lumps it in with "cookies" as the function is very similar. Deleting data in it doesn't necessarily shrink the file, though as it's a database file, and it would need "vacuuming".

Re: webappstore.sqlite
Ah that's why it didn't clean then. I never delete cookies unless I absolutely must, because it breaks "everything".
Weirdly, after deleting the file, virtually every site took several times longer to load. The file wasn't that big though, and on 200Mbit connection it must had not been a matter of redownloading whatever...

That's strange. You didn't delete it while the browser was running, I hope?LuftWafflePilot wrote: ↑2024-12-03, 20:36Weirdly, after deleting the file, virtually every site took several times longer to load.

I believe so, but not sure.
What kind of important data is saved there?
