Impossible to accept/reject cookies consent

Unread post by dapgo » 2024-10-01, 14:58

windows:
Palemoon:
64-bit:
https://www.razer.com/es-es/gaming-keyb ... ccessories:

In some pages I can't accept/reject the cookies prompt, sometimes I can scroll the page and sometimes not.

In this example, the "accept" button changes color but click does nothing, and the same for the X (close) button, and also the browser got unresponsive for seconds.

I am sure that developers are using javascripts layers in a not standard way but for the UX of palemoon users it would be great to manage or workaround the problem.

Code: Select all

Error: Script terminated by timeout at:
i@https://assets2.razerzone.com/cookie-popup/consent_banner.js:1:27366
l<@https://assets2.razerzone.com/cookie-popup/consent_banner.js:1:28068
If you open the Preferences, go to Content and deselect the "Automatically stop non-responsive scripts" you might be able to let the code run until completion, but there are no guarantees.

Or just use an adblocker. Those consent dialogs are totally pointless. uBlock Origin lets you select an item on a page and create a blocking rule for it.
