Did you do everything ChatGPT told you to do, or did you skip to the last step? ;)

2. Check password management in about
• Enter about:config in the address bar.
• Search for the following settings:
◦ signon.rememberSignons: This value should be set to true.
◦ signon.autofillForms: This value should also be set to true.
• If any of these values are incorrect, double-click on them to change.
skiped some, yes

OK, it works well now after I set the master password.

secure password manager inside Pale Moon. Just set your master password and it will keep everything encrypted securely ("military-grade" encryption as cloud providers often advertise with)
For sharing these passwords among different installations of Pale Moon I operate and maintain Pale Moon Sync, a client for which is built right into the browser as well. And if you don't like that idea (even though it's a perfectly secure way to use cloud storage; only you will have the key to recover data) then you can use any of the available alternative server solutions to store the data privately on a server you own.
