movups AVX instruction in mozglue

Unread post by TeamCubeadooby » 2024-09-11, 11:49

Yo. I'm Ali G and here to...

No, never mind that. As the topic title states. I updated PM on my Win11 Xeon no AVX machine and it obviously fails.

Is this intentional or an oversight? In either case, here is the information. If it is intentional, believe you me I know a lot of this subject because of the audio world I do "helping' in shall I say, heh - it is a misguided decision. If it is an oversight or improper compile, we are all human and make mistakes! No harm no foul. Rock on.

I am very competent. If you need more info from this way, just tell it and it's not a problem. Thanks for your work over the years. It's appreciated.

Entirely intentional. Our system requirements with 33.3.0 and later have changed as clearly indicated in various announcements (1) (2), release notes and on the website where system requirements are listed.

Non-AVX processors (your Xeon must be quite dated...) can use the community SSE2 build made available by Nuck-TH.
