Is there any way to delete cookies only for that session as Pale Moon is closed. I am on xenial64 on a Dell e6230.

Preferences->Privacy->General->keep until: I close Pale Moon, see example

and/or install an extension like Cookies exterminator or alike (can remove cookies as soon a tab is closed)

Before ticking anything with a button or menu, explore the menu. History clening is selective, here is mine (logins are preserved)

Create an exception to allow cookies for specific sites. You can do this via Preferences->Privacy->General->Exceptions or while visiting the site right click on page and do "View Page Info" go to "Permissions" tab, uncheck the "Use Default" for "Set Cookies" and click on "Allow". This will not affect existing cookies for the site so you will need to login after doing this to get a long lasting cookie.
