Control of auto-reloading

Unread post by PM-user » 2024-01-13, 01:22

Is there a basic setting to control whether PM tries to reload a page on a new visit after PM was closed? And if so, can it be set to always reload on new visits, or only reload manually?

Check browser.sessionstore.cache_behavior
(I personally prefer to set it to 1)

https://xref.palemoon.org/goanna-centra ... oon.js#895

The default (0) always pulls restored pages from cache, not checking with the website. This means pages may be stale when you restore them, but usually prevents network activity.
Do note that some things depend on websites' cache directives whether they are available in cache or not.

No idea since I don't use it, but it may interfere.

Not sure if this is the same topic, but is there a method to disable the "meta refresh" tag and the location.reload(1) script command? Maybe a pop-up to authorize a timed meta refresh, or a button on the Navigation toolbar to turn refresh on/off?
