What adblocker to use with Palemoon?
The only adblockers I can find that are compatible with Palemoon are a version of uBlock Origin that is 2-1/2 years old and a version of Adblock Latitude that is 1-1/2 years old.
Is there anything newer available?

Making sure you keep your filters up to date is more important than how old the extension itself is. I use the uBo extension you mentioned, and it works just fine.

Re: What adblocker to use with Palemoon?
Ad blocking extensions are mostly just filter interpreters. If the language of the filters doesn't change, there's no need to update the interpreter. uBO does have a handful of extra extension-internal features, but I'd bet they're more functional in the UXP versions than the WebExtensions versions.

These two links may be useful for making sure the lists are up-to date if you are using uBlock Origin.

Re: What adblocker to use with Palemoon?
Yes, I have been using Palemoon & uBlock Origin for a long time and it works well. But there is a problem that has nothing to do with the filters. YouTube has started throwing up messages that adblockers are not allowed. But I don't get that when using Firefox or Chrome with a newer version of uBO.
That's why I asked my original question. It seems pretty obvious that the newer versions of uBO have made changes to compensate for YouTube trying to ban adblockers. That's why it is important to have an updated program, not just an updated filter list.

Actually ... try adding the "Quick fixes" filter list described in this post:

That entire thread is dedicated to the YouTube problem you're describing.

And I second Nigaikaze's suggestion. Been using "Quick fixes" filter myself since that thread and I have never seen those banners yet.

Re: What adblocker to use with Palemoon?
There's AdGuard for Windows. It's an OS blocker, so it works for all installed software, including Pale Moon. No need for a specific browser extension.
I've used it in the past and had higher CPU usage with it (compared to a browser extension) but I tend to use very old CPUs so it shouldn't be a problem normally.
As for the YouTube vs. AdBlockers issue, I've never experienced it. You need proper filterlists, as mentioned.

I hope someone will continue Ublock Origin's development I have no idea what else can I use. As far as I remember, Adblock was ancient history.

There is an update here for Ublock legacy. No idea what changes they've made though and can't vouch for it as I only found it today and don't really want to try it out, not yet anyway.
Encountered it while reading here.

If you really NEED a newer uBO version, you can install the git version. I don't think it includes the changes linked by Shadow above, but there are a few other ones like keyboard shortcuts:

Depending on what exactly you want to achieve, Adblock Latitude + eMatrix is an option which is on the PM addon site and works just fine for me, though I'm not really going to the chrome-lover websites in PM.LuftWafflePilot wrote: ↑2023-12-31, 09:59I have no idea what else can I use. Re: What adblocker to use with Palemoon?
I've been using AdGuard for the past couple of years. I believe you can still try it for free. I'm on YouTube a lot and it was becoming virtually unwatchable due to all the commercial interruptions. I thought about paying for a premium subscription but then I found AdGuard. Before the free trial period was even over, I bought a lifetime subscription. I can't imagine being online without it. And it's not just an adblocker, it helps guard your system as well. If you check the site, you may find a way to sign up for news and offers. Then wait for a deep discount and buy it! You will not regret having done so.
